Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) is a nonprofit organization that provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants and refugees in Southern Alberta. Since our inception in 1981, we have been a community leader with solid experience in the design and delivery of comprehensive services for our newest neighbours. We deliver these services through a dynamic multi-cultural, multi-denominational and multi-disciplinary team of professionals, who collectively speak over 60 languages.

Employment Counsellor -Temporary with the possibility of an extension

The Employment Counsellor provides individual/ group employment counselling and career planning services to immigrants and refugees residing in Calgary and area. Highlights of the position include: needs determination assessment, training on the most recent job search strategies, resume/ cover letter/ interview preparation, group facilitation, marketing, referrals to employers/ other programs/ services and job placement.

Community Service Educator (Health & Wellness)

The Community Service Educator (CSE) will coordinate and deliver educational sessions to help newcomers understand key systems and services, strengthen their sense of belonging, and support clients with self-care, stress management, healthy relationships, and navigating mental health and wellness resources, as well as family and community life in Canada. Additionally, they will customize workshops for service providers, staff and Community partners on trauma-informed practices.

Client Support Case Worker Full Time – 40 Hrs/ Week

The Client Support Case Worker will provide outreach and customized services to support Temporary foreign workers (TFWs) employed in Calgary and areas

Career and Employment Advisor

The Skills Elevate program facilitates the process of integrating newcomer professional youth aged up to age 30 into the Canadian workplace. Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) has experienced newcomer youth facing extra challenges when attempting to enter the workforce. Therefore, we aim to break down these barriers by enhancing their overall life and employability skills.
