Distress Centre Calgary

The Major Gifts Officer reports to the Director, External Relations & Development and is responsible for growing philanthropic support for the Basic Needs Fund (BNF) Collaborative, a partnership between Distress Centre, CUPS, and Rise Calgary, as well as Distress Centre’s broader fundraising initiatives.

The ​Mobile Response Coordinator​ reports to a Coordinated Entry Program (CEP) ​Team Lead​. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating access and response within the CEP at Safe Communities Opportunity and Resource Centre (SORCe). As the first point of contact for the Coordinated Access and Assessment (CAA) housing check-in line and CAA Mobile requests from community and system partners, you will play a key role in connecting people to the right supports at the right time.

As Team Lead, Coordinated Entry Program (CEP), you’ll report to the Program Manager and guide a frontline team supporting people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and involved with the justice system. Based at SORCe, a multi-agency hub, you’ll oversee the Justice Navigation Program, coach staff, and work closely with community partners to connect participants to the supports they need.

The Financial Wellness Navigator reports to a Coordinated Entry Program (CEP) Team Lead. This role is responsible for helping people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness improve their financial stability. You will prepare and file income tax returns through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), help participants access the income and benefits they are entitled to, and connect them with meaningful supports across the SORCe collaborative and the wider community.
