The Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary (EFry) has been offering a variety of services to people in conflict with the legal system since 1965. EFry staff and volunteers at the Calgary Courts Centre and nearby rural courts provide legal information and emotional support to adults and youth making their first appearances in court. Workshops are provided to new Canadians regarding various aspects of adminsitrative legal interactions that assist them in adjusting to life in Calgary. The Prison Community Outreach team provides support services to women in the nearby correctional centres and in the community to assist in reintegration planning and recovery along their healing journeys.
