WHO WE ARE

Inspired by our own loved ones and founded in the power of being with family and friends in their final moments, Give A Mile is a registered nonprofit organization that provides flights for people to visit the people they love during times of critical or palliative care.

We are a group of dedicated volunteers who believe strongly in the impact of being with loved ones at the end of life, and our goal is to help connect families who cannot afford to make that priceless trip.

Give A Mile connects families in need through crowdfunded flights purchased with frequent flier miles, travel loyalty points and cash from compassionate donors.

100% of donations cover round-trip flights of compassion, travel fees and taxes so families can focus on what matters most: sharing one last “I love you” with their nearest and dearest.

Give A Mile’s founder, Kevin Crowe, experienced the power of a final goodbye first-hand during the passing of his good friend, Ryan Westerman. With grace, humour, and relentless optimism, Ryan documented his own battle with brain cancer online for hundreds of people. His positive outlook and desire to help others is something that will inspire anyone to believe that the life we are given is nothing short of miraculous.

After Kevin learned through Kulacauses.com that over 10 trillion air miles went unused in 2011 alone, Give A Mile was born.
