As the Rain Barrel Sales Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of Green Calgary’s mission, playing a key role in delivering impactful and well-organized events that promote water conservation and environmental stewardship. This role offers a blend of event coordination, logistics management, and community interaction—perfect for a dynamic and hands-on professional.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate production and delivery of rain barrels, including quality inspection, labeling, and movement between donation, storage, and sales sites.
- Train, mentor, and supervise volunteers in collaboration with the Community Outreach Specialist to ensure seamless event execution.
- Act as the main point of contact for event sponsors, hosts, vendors, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
- Manage all logistics related to Rain Barrel Sales, including:
- Developing site maps and layouts for venues.
- Securing insurance certificates and coordinating trucking contracts.
- Ordering, organizing, loading, and unloading products and supplies.
- Track and report event results to funders, ensuring accountability and transparency.
What You Bring
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in cash handling, customer service, and logistics.
- A valid Alberta driver’s license and registered vehicle required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification an asset.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work outdoors in Calgary weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 25kg.
- Work will be based at Green Calgary offices and various event sites across Calgary and surrounding areas. Weekend work will be required and occasional evenings.

This is a full-time, 6-month contract position with a salary equivalent to $36,000 per year based on a 30-hour workweek. Work schedule and location is flexible between office and remote work. This position is partly funded by grants with other organizations that might change the scope of work during its first few weeks as those agreements are finalized.
