Job Overview: 

Two Wheel View is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Enterprise Coordinator to join our team. The Social Enterprise is the retail arm of Two Wheel View, responsible for selling hundreds of refurbished bikes annually, along with parts, accessories, and branded merchandise. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be expected to manage the continued success of the Social Enterprise, refine its existing operations, and identify and develop growth opportunities. The role is full time, 32 hours per week, some of which will follow a set schedule and some of which will be flexible.  

Responsibilities: 

The main component of this role is overseeing day-to-day operations of the Social Enterprise. This includes but is not limited to:  

  • Staffing the sales floor 

  • Helping customers find the bike of their dreams  

  • Processing transactions 

  • Keeping the sales floor and displays clean and organized 

  • Supporting and coordinating staff 

  • Working collaboratively to create schedules, plan for events, anticipate coverage for busy days, etc.  

  • Provide support and mentorship for practicum students working part-time in the Social Enterprise 

  • Inventory management  

  • Track our stock of available bikes, and work alongside the Operations Manager to identify future inventory needs 

  • Oversee and continue to development of our e-commerce infrastructure and sales. Work with staff to identify parts for online sales 

  • Advertising/events 

  • Alongside our Community Engagement Coordinator, work to identify opportunities for sales, events, marketing campaigns, and local outreach 

Beyond this primary focus, the role of Social Enterprise Coordinator offers the opportunity to bring your own vision for the shop to life! We are looking for a candidate who is excited to refine, develop, and launch new programs and systems and help us grow. 

You're a great candidate for this role if you have: 

  • A passion for bikes and cycling, and familiarity with most types of bikes and bike parts. If you have experience in the bicycle industry, that’s a plus, but it’s not required.   

  • Multiple years' experience working in retail or a retail-adjacent setting. Management experience within a retail setting is considered an asset, but is not required. 

  • Enthusiasm for the mission of Two Wheel View, and an appreciation for the bicycle as a tool for access, climate justice, wellness, and joy. 

  • Great communication skills. Whether you’re interacting with customers or collaborating with the TWV team, you should be someone who listens well, asks questions, and expresses themself clearly and compassionately. 

  • A proven commitment to inclusivity and social justice 

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and to manage deadlines and seasonal variation in workflow. 

Compensation: 

$40,000-$50,000 starting salary, depending on experience. Includes health benefits (after a three-month probation period), shop discounts, and two weeks paid time off, plus an additional paid two-week closure over the winter holidays.
