As the Client Development Coordinator, you will manage existing relationships and develop partnerships to grow the Training Centre’s reach.

Sexual well-being for all is at the core of what we do. We teach, we train, and we advocate to support healthy bodies, healthy relationships, and healthy communities. We provide education, training, and counselling for everyone and have been leading the way in the areas of sexuality, healthy relationships, human rights, gender identity, sexual orientation, equality, and consent for over 50 years.

As the Client Development Coordinator, you will manage existing relationships and develop partnerships to grow the Training Centre’s reach. You will create and implement systems to ensure client management strategies are effective and implemented across the Training Centre team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Partnership Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Manage the current client base for the Training Centre, working in collaboration with the Training Centre team.
  • Explore and engage in training and consultative support opportunities with past, current, and future clients.
  • Establish a weekly routine for engaging with current and new contacts and organizations interested in the Centre’s training programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and consistent follow-up to build trust-based relationships with external and internal contacts.
  • Provide Training Centre Manager with reports and insights regarding client satisfaction and retention.

Client Account Management

  • Document all interactions with contacts and organizations and update booking opportunities in our client relationship management system to effectively manage follow-up tasks (bookings, invoices, etc.) and generate reports for management.
  • Prepare training and consultation proposals and client contracts in consultation with the Training Centre Manager.
  • Work with the Training Centre Manager to create sales and partnership targets and implement a plan to achieve these targets.
  • Co-manage and track organizational change audit partnerships in collaboration with the Training Centre Manager and Facilitators.

Organizational and Community Engagement

  • Promote the Centre for Sexuality as a leader in programs and services for sexual health and sexuality.
  • As required, represent the organization/program at internal and external meetings and events.
  • Respond to requests for information about the program promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute to Training Centre team initiatives through meeting interactions, client base planning, and partnership collaboration with the team.
  • Build the Training Centre team members’ capacity for relationship management strategies and tools.
  • Proactively provide continuous market intelligence concerning Centre for Sexuality competitors.
  • Provide feedback on workflow/processes within the Training Centre and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.
  • Develop and nurture internal relationships with key groups/teams at C4S to explore opportunities for collaboration and creative cross-team solutions to unique client needs.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Commitment to organizational values of social justice, self-determination, collaboration, and prevention.
  • Preference is given to candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in partnership engagement and/or client management, demonstrating ability to build partnerships and foster relationships.
  • Excellent task/time management and organizational skills in an open-space work environment.
  • Experience working with clients to uncover solutions to complex training and organizational change needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstration of curiosity and commitment to learning.
  • Effective conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Passionate about promoting sexual health, 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion, and committed to social justice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of sexual health and sexuality topics, including 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion, STIs, contraception, consent, and healthy relationships, is an asset.

Additional requirements: 

  • Access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to become certified).

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range $60,000-$65,000 annually.
