Community Links is a non-profit registered charity that proudly serves the North Rocky View Region including Airdrie, Beiseker, Crossfield, Irricana, Balzac, Kathyrn and the surrounding areas in the County of North Rocky View.

The Opportunity: Family Resource Manager
Community Links is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Resource Manager to lead our Family Resource Services (FRS) and Family Resource Network (FRN) with compassion, collaboration, and excellence. This leadership role ensures high-quality, evidence-based services that support families, children, and youth throughout the North Rocky View Region.
The successful candidate will oversee FRN Hub and Spoke Services, supervise a dynamic team, and collaborate with internal teams and community partners to deliver impactful programming. This position plays a vital role in program development, staff support, community engagement, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise and support FRS and FRN teams, including staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Lead team meetings and represent the organization in agency, community, and provincial FRN meetings.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and solution-focused work environment aligned with organizational values.
  • Provide one-on-one supervision, mentorship, and professional development for team members.

Program & Service Delivery

  • Oversee evidence-based groups, workshops, and projects to ensure relevance and quality.
  • Support service delivery planning across the North Rocky View Region, advocating for community needs.
  • Monitor program documentation, data collection (in the Penelope database), and ensure service quality standards are met.
  • Provide direct services when needed to support team capacity and community member needs.

Strategic & Financial Planning

  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to align services with the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Assist with budget development and ensure financial accountability within assigned budgets.
  • Support funding proposal development, reporting, and fundraising efforts.
  • Manage inventory and ensure efficient use of resources.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Help build strong relationships with funders, partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Represent Community Links in community initiatives, committees, and engagement activities.
  • Identify emerging needs and partnership opportunities to expand the organization’s reach and impact.

Risk Managements & Policy Adherence

  • Promote safety, confidentiality, and ethical practices across all services.
  • Participate in risk assessment and emergency planning and respond to incidents in a timely and supportive manner.
  • Ensure adherence to agency policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Services or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 1+ years in a management role.
  • Proven skills in staff supervision, team development, and program management.
  • Strong understanding of child/youth development, trauma-informed care, parenting strategies, and family dynamics.
  • Experience in crisis intervention, assessment, and community referrals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and databases (such as Penelope).
  • Flexible, inclusive, and community-minded with a strong work ethic.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Region in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and lift equipment as needed.
  • Comfort working with high-risk populations, including those with mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Certifications (or willingness to obtain):
    • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
    • First Aid/CPR Level C
    • Brain Story Certification
    • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
    • Children Services Child and Youth Intervention Record Check
  • Assets:
    • Experience with Triple P (Positive Parenting Program)
    • Previous experience in a not-for-profit setting
