Court Support Worker

The Court Support Program will provide education, knowledge and understanding of the court processes, legal information, and navigation of the court system which will assist individuals who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse. The Court Support Worker will assist the individuals with safety planning, accompaniment to court, information and referrals, and emotional support. After court, the Court Support Worker, will debrief with client the court outcomes.

Program Coordinator

Works within a multi-disciplinary team environment to manage the day-to-day activities of two important community programs; the Companion Program and Bereavement Telephone Support Program. The position is responsible for development, coordination and implementation, and evaluation of the program. The position also builds, strengthens, and supports a network of volunteers to assist clients with their evolving needs and enhance program resources.

Manager, Counselling & Community Services

This is a Maternity Leave Coverage Position – Temporary Full Time (13 month term) Anticipated Start Date: May 6, 2024. Manages counseling and community services team and programs to ensure participant needs are met.

Oskapewis (Cultural) Facilitator

This position involves spearheading the “Honoring Our Lost Spirits” initiative: a collaborative effort between Miskanawah and the Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary, aimed at creating a culturally responsive support program for the survivors and families affected by missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, men, boys, and two-spirit people.

Cultural Programs Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for managing, supervising, monitoring and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cultural Programs at Miskanawah. Miskanawah’s cultural programs and services offer a culturally grounded approach to promote well-being for agency staff, community members and persons served.

Operations Lead – Temporary

Reporting to the Director, Finance and Operations at Inn from the Cold (The INN) oversees maintenance and janitorial, supply distribution, facility management and oversees the appropriate storage and disposal of records, in compliance with operational needs at The INN’s various sites.  The Operations Lead is the key liaison with landlords, property managers, inspectors, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
