ABOUT US
RESET provides immediate, safe, rapid exit programming and 24/7 comprehensive individualized support to women and girls aged 16+ fleeing sexual exploitation and sex trafficking from across Canada. RESET programming enables girls, women, and their children to stabilize, heal, reconnect, and not only exit sexual exploitation and sex trafficking but also positively and completely rebuild their lives.

Our services include a 3-Phase residential life-skills recovery program, health care access, addiction support, and parenting resources, addressing complex needs like trauma and homelessness. RESET’s two-stage housing model includes a rapid-exit 30-day safehouse and supported housing — which helps women stabilize and transition to independence.

Based in Calgary and serving women across Canada, RESET partners with community organizations to deliver programs such as the EXIT Life-skills Classroom, wellness and employment support, and long-term community care. PURPOSE OF POSITION:  
This position reports to the Executive Director.

As the Program Manager, you will oversee a team of professionals who deliver programs aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategic directions. You will plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of the EXIT Program, including: the EXIT Classroom, Community Support Outreach, i-EXIT Program (safe house), and Frontline Housing to meet established goals and budget requirements, ensuring we meet the needs of our clients. You will collaborate with leadership to develop strategies, manage resources, and build relationships with stakeholders to enhance community impact.

This position attends to the well-being of the program staff and ultimately focuses on helping clients move from an exploitative lifestyle to one where they have begun to heal from the consequences of sexual exploitation/sex-trafficking and achieve graduation of recovery and life-skills criteria. 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in relevant discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Addictions/Concurrent Disorders), and 3-5 years progressive, related experience with program management and leadership; or minimum 5 years of progressive, related experience with program management and leadership;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the short and long-term impact of trauma and addiction;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the impact of mental health issues;
  • Demonstrated competencies in mediation and conflict resolution;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Stages of Change model and the ability to utilize stage-specific interventions, and in-depth knowledge of the 12-step approach to treating addictions;
  • Strong relational and leadership skills (program planning, coaching, group facilitation, listening, motivating, problem solving, etc.);
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to facilitate a team approach to decision making;
  • Non-violent crisis intervention or de-escalation training
  • Trauma-informed care training
  • Public speaking experience
  • Client Data Management with HMIS is an asset;
  • First Aid with CPR and Police Check for Vulnerable Sectors is required; and
  • Minimum Class 5 License required with a driver's abstract showing a clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years uninterrupted insurance history.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in driving the vision and strategy of the EXIT program, including: the EXIT Classroom, Community Support Outreach, i-EXIT Program (safe house), and the Frontline Housing.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, supervision, and support to direct reports to enable them to have autonomy, decision-making responsibilities, and authority in their areas in an effective, efficient manner.
  • Direct supervision and responsibility for all staff, policies, and procedures at the i-EXIT Program (safe house) and Front-Line Housing.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Continually evaluate and improve systems/processes, ensuring best practices are utilized and standards of excellence in service delivery are met.
  • Adheres to the Program Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Ensure all active Participant files are stored and later archived in a secure manner that ensures their anonymity and adheres to FOIPP regulations.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships and collaborations that can benefit the organization and its clients.
  • Outreach to educate the community about the services and mission of RESET, fostering support and engagement.
  • Participate in the hiring process and ensure there is appropriate orientation and program-specific training for both staff and volunteers.
  • Contribute to the Management Team in setting organizational and program priorities.
  • Participate in and ensure that measurable outcomes for Programs are met.
  • Oversee the intake of all Participants to the i-EXIT Program.
  • Participate in the shared decision-making process of entering/exiting Participants to the EXIT Classroom and Frontline houses by collaborating with the Keyworkers.
  • In collaboration and shared decision-making with the Keyworkers and the Community Support Coordinator, ensure that Participants move on to Phase 3 at the appropriate time.
  • Lead and debrief the daily morning and end-of-day Program team meetings.
  • On-call duties as required.
  • Other duties as required.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all requirements of program contracts are met, including program accreditation, case management standards, and reporting.
  • Develop and administer the annual budget for the relevant programs, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure program systems and procedures are delivered in keeping with RESET policy.
  • Develop and maintain program-specific policy manuals.
  • Participate in the review and development of program curricula, program enhancements, needs assessments, and strategic and operational plans.
  • Develop annual program outcomes and goals that align with the organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • In collaboration with all Direct Reports, develop individual work plans including goals that align with the organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Conduct annual performance assessments on all Direct Reports, measuring against the goals and strategies outlined in the process above.
  • Meet weekly with all Direct Reports for supervision and feedback purposes.
  • Provide a monthly written report to be presented at RESET Board meetings.
