We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Manager, Child, Youth and Family Program (CYFP) to join our team. This position is out of scope with the union, working 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Responsible for developing and implementing operational plans for the CYF program.
  • Responsible for leadership and management of programs including longer-term visioning and planning for the programs.
  • Provides operational supervision to the therapists in the program.
  • Maintain a high degree of collaboration and excellent communication with the other operational managers, as well as other departments and leaders at FearIsNotLove.
  • Ensure regular operational supervision meetings are held with staff, as well as clinical supervision with the Practice  Advisor.  
  • Identifying, creating (or sourcing) and implementing broader level training for staff, and working closely with the Accreditation Advisor to ensure staff attend agency sponsored trainings.
  • Ensure targets for completion rates on program outcomes tools are on track.
  • Monitor program outcomes and adjust or improve service delivery as per client feedback.
  • Manage job performance of direct reports.
  • In collaboration  HR, responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff.
  • Responsible for approving monthly expenses and mileage of all staff and for monitoring budgets.
  • Leadership of innovative projects which relate to the portfolio as required, responsible for program development and delivery, in accordance with the operational plan for the programs and the strategic direction of the agency. 
  • Support team with high-risk cases and critical incidents in the program, and liaise with the Practice Advisor and Executive team as necessary.
  • Collaborates with the Practice Advisor to ensure program alignment with the agency framework of practice, including alignment of program with the Response-Based approach, Trauma-Informed Care, and Feedback Informed Treatment.    
  • Ensure program meets the standards of the Canadian Accreditation Council and is operated in compliance with agency policy and procedures.
  • Monitors program evaluation outcomes in conjunction with the Director of Research and Evaluation
  • Responsible for continual program improvements related to program outcomes.
  • Ensure the contractual obligations from all funders are met.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships internal and external to FearIsNotLove  and ensure integration of the teams within the broader agency. This includes partnerships with community stakeholders and funders.
  • Participate on various sector councils/collectives/committees as approved by the Chief Programs and Impact Officer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR MISSION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology or equivalent, although a Master’s degree is preferred. Some understanding of the Response-based approach, Feedback Informed Treatment, and Trauma-Informed Care would be considered an asset.   Clinical alignment with client-centered approaches to counselling is necessary.  
  • At least five years related experience; previous experience in management and program supervision is required.
  • Skills in supervision, program development, and program management.

  • A current criminal records search and an intervention record check is required.
  • Effective January 1st, 2022 being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 is a condition of employment.
