About the Role:
Do you have a passion for inclusion, adaptive recreation, and helping families experience the joy of cycling? CP Kids & Families is seeking an Adapted Bike & Inclusive Recreation Coordinator to lead the delivery of our adapted bike and recreation programs. This role coordinates bike fittings, renewals, and purchases, manages communication with families, oversees adapted programs and Learn2Ride, supports volunteers, and helps ensure every child can participate in recreation that fits their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main contact for the Adapted Bike Program – emails, bookings, and inquiries.
- Coordinate bike fittings, deliveries, returns, and winter storage with accuracy and care.
- Maintain bike indexing and files, and coordinate parts, inventory, and service requests.
- Liaise with the Bike Shop Manager and Adapted Cycling Specialist for training and workflow.
- Lead and support volunteers and seasonal staff during clinics and events.
- Coordinate inclusive programs such as Learn2Ride, Adapted Dance, and the Adventure Library.
- Attend community events and resource fairs to promote accessible recreation.
- Collaborate with the communications team on marketing and outreach.
- Assist with reports, evaluations, and data tracking for all adapted recreation programs.
What You Bring:
- Education or experience in recreation therapy, kinesiology, disability studies, or community development.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Calm, respectful, and professional – a true team player with initiative and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and volunteers.
- Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and building inclusive communities.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data entry.
- Flexible to work some evenings and weekends during program season.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of cerebral palsy or adaptive equipment is an asset.
- Basic bike repair knowledge or willingness to learn preferred.

Varied Work Schedule:
January–June: 30–37.5 hrs/week
June–December: 20–30 hrs/week (varied)
