ABOUT US
RESET provides immediate, safe, rapid exit programming and 24/7 comprehensive individualized support and safe housing to women and girls aged 16+ fleeing sexual exploitation and sex trafficking from across Canada. RESET programming enables girls, women, and their children to stabilize, heal, reconnect, and not only exit sexual exploitation and sex trafficking but also positively and completely rebuild their lives.

Our services include a 3-Phase residential life-skills recovery program, health care access, addiction support, and parenting resources to address the complex issues faced by this population. RESET’s two-stage housing model includes a rapid-exit 30-day safehouse and supported frontline housing, which enables women to stabilize and transition to independence.

Based in Calgary and serving women from across Canada, RESET partners with organizations to deliver the EXIT Program, which includes the life-skills classroom, wellness and employment support, and long-term community care. PURPOSE OF POSITION:  
This position is a blend of front-line support for Participants while taking a lead role on RESET’s program team. This position reports to the Program Manager.

As the Team Lead, i-EXIT Safehouse, you will support the Program Manager in supervising and managing the i-EXIT Support Workers who deliver programs aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategic directions. Team Lead responsibilities will include providing mentorship and guidance to the i-EXIT team, conducting intakes into the program, overseeing the entry of case notes, data and outcomes into the i-EXIT database, and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for the Executive Director.

This position attends to the well-being of the i-EXIT program staff and ultimately focuses on helping clients move from an exploitative lifestyle to one where they have begun to heal from the consequences of sexual exploitation/sex-trafficking to achieve graduation of recovery and life-skills criteria. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guidance, coaching, supervision, and support to the team at i-EXIT to enable them to have autonomy and decision-making responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
  • Processes trauma‑informed intakes for individuals exiting sex trafficking, including admission documentation, consent, safety screening, and orientation to the program
  • Facilitation of the i-EXIT Program Curriculum and related program components
  • Work closely with the i-EXIT team to ensure effective operations, adequate staffing, and to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Support Participant’s access to treatment, therapy/counselling, medical, cultural connections, and other external resources
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Continually evaluate and recommend improvements for systems and processes, ensuring best practices are utilized, and standards of excellence in service delivery are met
  • Adhere to the EXIT Program Policies and Procedures Manual
  • Ensure all active Participant files are stored and later archived in a secure manner that ensures their anonymity and adheres to FOIPP regulations
  • Maintain relationships with partner agencies and professionals in the community at large to facilitate effective referrals, exits, access to treatment centres, medical, etc
  • Participate in and ensure that measurable outcomes for Programs are met
  • Participate in the shared decision-making process of entering/exiting Participants from i-EXIT to the EXIT Classroom with the EXIT Program Manager and Keyworkers
  • Participate in the daily morning and end-of-day Program team meetings when required
  • On-call duties as required
  • Other duties as required

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all requirements of program contracts are met, including program accreditation, case management standards, and reporting
  • Oversee accurate and current data collection and generate reports as required
  • Ensure proper monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of program activity in the i-EXIT Program to develop reports and ensure program compliance with Funder standards and future Accreditation requirements
  • Ensure program systems and procedures are delivered in keeping with RESET policy
  • Maintain program-specific policy manual
  • Participate in the review and development of program curricula, program enhancements, needs assessments, and strategic and operational plans when required
  • Participate in the development of the annual program outcomes and goals that align with the organizational goals and strategic priorities when required
  • In collaboration with all Direct Reports, develop individual work plans including goals that align with the organizational goals and strategic priorities
  • Participate in the annual performance assessments on all Direct Reports, measuring against the goals and strategies outlined in the process above
  • Meet monthly with all Direct Reports for supervision and feedback purposes
  • Provide a monthly written report to be presented at RESET Board meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Related Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Education, Addictions Studies, etc.  *Current professional registration is required if applicable (eg: RSW), plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated competencies in management, including coaching, motivating, mediation, conflict resolution, and adult education/group facilitation
  • Completion of a certificate program and/or one-year experience in addictions/concurrent disorders from an accredited educational institution preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of women’s issues related to poverty, sex-trafficking, homelessness, marginalization, violence, trauma, addictions, and mental health
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the short and long-term impact of trauma and addiction
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the impact of mental health issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Stages of Change model and the ability to utilize stage-specific interventions, and in-depth knowledge of the 12-step approach to treating addictions
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to facilitate a team approach to decision making
  • Non-violent crisis intervention or de-escalation training
  • Trauma-informed care training
  • Client Data Management with HMIS is an asset
  • First Aid with CPR and Police Check for Vulnerable Sectors is required
  • Minimum Class 5 License required with a driver's abstract showing a clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years uninterrupted insurance history.
