About the Position: Coordinator, Supportive Living
The Coordinator is often the first point of contact for clients and plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their mental wellness journey. This position involves frontline work in our supportive housing environment, where empathy, adaptability, and problem-solving are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review individualized Service Plans with clients and their supports
- Collaborate with community partners
- Provide supportive counselling in crisis situations
- Facilitate group and house meetings to build a positive community culture
- Perform safety rounds, cleaning duties, and intervention when needed
- Administer lifesaving interventions such as CPR or Naloxone
- Maintain accurate client records
What You Bring:
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Bachelor of Psychology, or a recognized diploma or undergraduate degree in a human services field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least two (2) years of experience working with persons with a diagnosed mental health condition, preferably in a skill development or residential environment.
- Experience working with individuals with substance abuse issues.
- You have worked in the mental health field for over two years and have a deep commitment to and understanding of the recovery model.
- Current Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts.
- Recent Police or Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months)
