About the Position: Coordinator, Supportive Living

The Coordinator is often the first point of contact for clients and plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their mental wellness journey. This position involves frontline work in our supportive housing environment, where empathy, adaptability, and problem-solving are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review individualized Service Plans with clients and their supports
  • Collaborate with community partners
  • Provide supportive counselling in crisis situations
  • Facilitate group and house meetings to build a positive community culture
  • Perform safety rounds, cleaning duties, and intervention when needed
  • Administer lifesaving interventions such as CPR or Naloxone
  • Maintain accurate client records

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Bachelor of Psychology, or a recognized diploma or undergraduate degree in a human services field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with persons with a diagnosed mental health condition, preferably in a skill development or residential environment.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance abuse issues.
  • You have worked in the mental health field for over two years and have a deep commitment to and understanding of the recovery model.
  • Current Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST) certification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts.
  • Recent Police or Vulnerable Sector Check (within 6 months)

Please note: this role involves high-stress situations and emotional resilience is key.

 

Available Position: Supportive Living Coordinator

  • Shift Time
    Fulltime Sun – Wed 7:00am – 5:00pm
    Part-time Thu – Sat 1:00pm – 10:30pm
    Fulltime Sun – Wed 1:00pm – 10:30pm
    Part-time Sat – Sun 2:30pm – 9:00pm
