Position Overview
The Fund Development Team Lead increases BB4CK's organizational capacity by developing and executing a strategic, integrated fund development plan. This role leads a team of four and stewards BB4CK's major donors, cultivating strong, values-driven relationships while overseeing approximately $5 million in annual fundraising.
The position ensures long-term financial sustainability through diverse revenue streams, including grants, government funding, planned giving, and future capital campaigns. As BB4CK's fundraising strategy evolves, this portfolio is expected to continue growing over time.
Key Responsibilities of the Team Lead, Fund Development:
Strategic Leadership & Fund Development
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine BB4CK's integrated fund development strategy to meet organizational goals.
- Embed BB4CK's values and mission into donor stewardship and fundraising practices.
- Oversee major donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Lead the development of new giving mediums and fundraising efforts, such as planned giving, endowments, and capital campaigns.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise, mentor, and support the Fund Development team (currently four staff members), ensuring clear priorities and accountability.
- Provide growth opportunities and foster a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
- Partner with other Team Leads and Directors to align fundraising with organizational priorities.
Government Relations & Foundation Funding
- Lead relationships with government funders and oversee major multi-year grants.
- Participate in building relationships with government contacts.
- Manage reporting and compliance requirements for restricted and unrestricted funding sources.
Organizational Leadership
- Serve as part of BB4CK's leadership team, contributing fundraising insights to organizational planning.
- Provide quarterly updates to the Board Fund Development Committee.
- Represent BB4CK externally with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

- Contribute to organizational needs as they arise to support the success and cohesion of the broader BB4CK team.
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary degree in Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, Business, Communications, or related field; CFRE designation is an asset.
- 5–7 years of progressive fund development experience, including major gifts, grant management, and donor relations, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record in strategic fundraising planning and execution.
- Proficiency in donor databases and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot), with strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

Total Compensation & Benefits
BB4CK offers a competitive and values-aligned total compensation package designed to support physical, psychological, and financial well-being. Base salaries are anchored at the 50th percentile of market value, and our benefits include:
