Special Events and Fundraising Assistant – Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families O/U The Calgary Cerebral Palsy Association
Position Overview
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Special Events Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role will support our team in planning and executing community events, programs and services. It is a 6 month contracted position.
About Us
Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families (CPKF) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting families of children and young adults living with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. For 75 years, we’ve been making a difference in Calgary through innovative programs, events, and community support.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate event logistics, including timelines, volunteer coordination support, and vendor management.
- May support the development and schedule of social media content related to events, programs and services
- Support fundraising activities, including donor outreach, silent auctions, and sponsorship initiatives.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative ideas for events and marketing.
- Maintain detailed records and track event progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate with stakeholders, including sponsors, volunteers, and attendees as required
Qualifications
- Experience working with a charity, especially those supporting individuals with disabilities
- Fundraising experience is an asset
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creativity and problem-solving skills are highly valued
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning software is a plus Special Events and Fundraising Assistant
Details
- This is a contract position until June 30, 2025, with the potential for extension based on funding
- The position offers flexibility in hours and a combination of remote and in person work
