Reporting directly to the Director of Philanthropy, the Development Officer – Annual Giving plays a key role in advancing Calgary Humane Society’s mission by developing and implementing comprehensive annual giving strategies that inspire philanthropic support and deepen donor engagement.The primary objective of this role is to grow annual giving revenue by acquiring, retaining, reactivating, and upgrading donors through integrated fundraising campaigns and exceptional donor stewardship.
The Major Gifts Officer reports to the Director, External Relations & Development and is responsible for growing philanthropic support for the Basic Needs Fund (BNF) Collaborative, a partnership between Distress Centre, CUPS, and Rise Calgary, as well as Distress Centre’s broader fundraising initiatives.
The Volunteer Coordinator leads MCC Alberta’s Volunteer Strategy at the thrift shop, including recruitment and orientation of new Thrift volunteers, and ongoing support, coaching, and training for volunteers in their various roles. This salaried full-time position will interact directly with 80 + volunteers, leading the efforts of volunteer communication and recognition. This leadership role is a balance of administrative and people work.
