Role Purpose
The Coordinator, Community Engagement is essential to bringing NPC’s engagement strategy to life. Reporting to the Director, Sector Development & Engagement, you will lead the administrative and logistical coordination of member activities, province-wide convenings, and capacity-building initiatives. This role is focused on operational excellence and responsive service, ensuring our activities are organized, accessible, and valuable to our members.
Core Responsibilities
Membership Engagement & Relationship Stewardship
- Execute Engagement Strategy: Support onboarding, engagement tracking, and retention tasks to build lasting member relationships.
- Member Service: Serve as the primary touchpoint for inquiries, providing timely, empathetic, and professional responses.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate engagement records within the CRM and collect member feedback to inform internal decision-making.
- Outreach Support: Coordinate administrative aspects of outreach to strengthen regional and subsector representation.
Convening & Capacity Building
- Event Delivery: Plan and deliver NPC convenings, including Connector Circles, Connector Cohorts, and major events like the Connections Conference.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate speakers, facilitators, contracts, and event communications.
- Resource Development: Support the creation of toolkits, playbooks, and recorded sessions to build sector capacity.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze post-event feedback to assess value and enhance future initiatives.
Communications & Operations
- Social Media & Newsletters: Manage the master social media calendar and lead the bi-weekly newsletter workflow, from content staging to distribution list management.
- Asset Management: Maintain a digital asset library (photos, logos, documents) and track workflows with external specialists.
- Analytics: Monitor digital metrics, such as newsletter open rates and social reach, to track the success of province-wide outreach.
- Team Support: Manage event timelines and budgets while contributing data to NPC’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Experience: 1–3 years in community engagement, event coordination, or a related nonprofit/public sector role.
- Technical Fluency: Comfort with CRM systems, digital engagement tools, and event platforms; you are often the "tech support" during virtual events.
- Adaptability: The ability to pivot quickly between deep-focus data entry and troubleshooting live event glitches.
- Detail-Oriented: A passion for "closing the loop," from venue contracts to updating member titles.
- Relationship-Focused: An equity-aware collaborator who builds trust quickly with diverse stakeholders.
Working Conditions
