We’re looking for a creative, organized, and detail-driven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple priorities with ease, and delivers high-quality work independently.

What You’ll Do
 

  • Execute marketing and communications plans aligned with CPAA’s strategic priorities
  • Partner with the graphic designer to create and produce digital materials using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency
  • Support media relations activities, including coordinating interviews and preparing materials
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance and analytics
  • Contribute to public awareness campaigns and community outreach initiatives
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives and events
  • Manage donor engagement activities, including research, outreach, stewardship, and recognition
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track interactions in Salesforce CRM
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgements, tax receipting, and sponsor recognition
  • Research funding opportunities, grant writing, submissions, and reporting
  • Track grant submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements
  • Develop compelling written content including donor communications, grants, newsletters, and impact reports
  • Ensure all content reflects CPAA’s voice, brand, and storytelling standards
  • Prepare presentations and materials to support donor cultivation
  • Maintain organized records of campaigns, communications, and funding activities
  • Collaborate across teams to support consistent messaging and share communications tools and best practices
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or fund development
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop required)
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
  • Experience with social media, graphic design, and digital/print production
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Working Conditions:
 

  • Office-based role with regular computer use
  • Occasional travel and event support across Alberta

  • Can be based out of our Calgary or Edmonton offices.
