Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) is seeking a Program Facilitator for the Canada Connects Program and is accepting applications from qualified job seekers!

Provide specific program delivery in the Canada Connects Program through volunteer recruitment, matching, monitoring, volunteer training, special events, special initiatives and administrative data reporting support. You will be confident in promoting the Canada Connects Program in the community to recruit volunteers and increase public awareness of the program and newcomers' needs.

Known for our focus on servicing newcomers – and our innovative and collaborative community partnerships – Committed to the community, our Canada Connect program is client and community focused; proudly providing services to over 200 clients each year.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruit, train, monitor, and provide ongoing support and appreciation to community volunteers
  • Facilitate and supervise volunteer matches with newcomers
  • Conduct regular intakes and needs assessments of complex multi-barrier clients
  • Coordinate appropriate group activities
  • Coordinate program annual events and activities for clients and volunteers
  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant community resources/support systems for volunteers (update as necessary on program blog, newsletter, and through personal contact with volunteers)
  • Maintain complete records of volunteer and client information and program activities
  • Submit a program report and evaluation on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Maintain client files in IRCC database
  • Market the Canada Connects program to the community
  • Work effectively on the Canada Connects Team

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Sociology, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in community development, settlement services, or a related social service environment.
  • Experience recruiting, training, supporting, and managing volunteers.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating community programs and activities.
  • Strong knowledge of settlement needs, newcomer issues, and Calgary community resources.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and community engagement skills.
  • Experience with data collection, program evaluation, and report writing.
  • Excellent organizational, project coordination, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting/webinar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of client confidentiality, ethics, and privacy requirements.
  • Fluency in an additional language is considered an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • A driver’s license and vehicle are required
  • Must have a valid Criminal Record Check report
