Functional Statement:
The CRR Program Manager oversees the overall operation, community collaboration, and promotion of the Centre for Refugee Resilience, with the aim of building resilience in refugees and immigrants who have experienced trauma through coordinated community, social, and mental health support. The Program Manager integrates all programs within the Centre for Refugee Resilience to improve service delivery and expand the impact of programs for clients and staff. The Program Manager works consultatively and collaboratively with the Division Director and the Program Clinical Supervisor to ensure the program delivers relevant and culturally competent mental health and navigation services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CRR programs, ensuring quality service delivery and best practices
- Work closely with the clinical lead to ensure that fluid team processes are in place
- Oversee goals and progress of each team member
- Assign, monitor, assess and maintain staff schedules and caseloads
- Promote collaboration in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team within CCIS
- Develop and ensure the implementation of outcome measures for all funded elements of the program, complete evaluation and reporting, and oversee the statistics of all team members
- Evaluate, strategize and implement improved procedures for service delivery, efficiency and program effectiveness
- Identify gaps in client services and respond with modified processes, new partnerships, or new funding opportunities
- Collaborate, communicate and network with relevant stakeholders (internal and external), organizations and professionals who are working in the field
- With the Division Director, lead recruitment, interviewing, training, and evaluation of new hires
Core Competencies
- Provide guidance, direction and completion of funding proposals and budgets
- Monitor and manage the budget for the programs in consultation with the Director
- Oversee and complete funding reporting and statistics done by staff (iCARE, quarterly reports, etc.)
- Attention to detail in data reporting, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines, and monitoring follow-up with clients by staff
- Coordinate the sharing of resources among programs
- Assign clients, monitor, assess and maintain staff schedules
- Develop and ensure the implementation of outcome measures for programs
- Support and supervise staff in planning and meeting targets
- Conduct regular meetings, group and individual, with program staff
- Educate and advocate on behalf of newcomer clients in the community
- Practice personal self-care and support the needs of team members
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree in Public Health Program Management, Human Services Leadership, Social Work or equivalent and a minimum of three years of relevant experience or a master’s degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of local immigrant-serving agencies, their programs and services, current immigration issues and resources available in the community
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in client case management, life skills, and group service delivery
- Experience in leading and managing a team
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience in client case management, therapy and Mental Health service delivery
- Experience in establishing strong and effective partnerships with community groups, service providers and other key stakeholders to develop responses to community issues and build on community strengths and resources
- High level of interpersonal skills to manage conflict and work effectively with a diverse group of clients, staff and community members
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to speak a second language is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must have a valid Criminal Record Check report
