About Us:
Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families (CP Kids & Families) is a Calgary-based charity dedicated to supporting families raising children with cerebral palsy and similar physical disabilities.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for engaging the community, recruiting and supporting volunteers, coordinating volunteer activities, and helping to strengthen partnerships with corporate and community groups. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic communicator who enjoys connecting people, creating meaningful experiences, and supporting charitable programs that make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the volunteer program, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, supervision, and recognition.
- Build relationships with community partners, schools, and corporate groups to identify and coordinate volunteer opportunities.
- Support community engagement activities, including special events, resource fairs, and partnership initiatives.
- Track volunteer data, engagement, and reporting metrics.
- Assist with donor stewardship activities related to volunteer and group engagement.
- Provide administrative support for program and event delivery as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or event planning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—able to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and creativity.
- Experience working with families of children with disabilities is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with some off-site activities.
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week
