Are you a purpose-driven leader who wants to make a meaningful impact? We’re looking for a strategic, relationship-focused professional to join our senior leadership team as Managing Director, Fund Development & Marketing. This high-impact role oversees the delivery and evolution of Pacekids’ fund development, marketing, and communications functions, ensuring the organization continues to grow its sustainable funding base and enhance its visibility in the community.
As a senior leader, you’ll guide a talented team, foster innovation, and ensure Pacekids’ fundraising and communications strategies support children and families every single day. You’ll have the opportunity to shape a values-driven approach to philanthropy, elevate brand presence, and build partnerships that change lives.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support a high-performing team in fund development, marketing, and communications.
- Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating fundraising and marketing strategies aligned with Pacekids’ strategic plan.
- Oversee annual and long-term fundraising plans including major gifts, monthly giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, gaming, and events.
- Drive marketing and communications initiatives to strengthen Pacekids’ brand identity and increase community engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, funders, partners, and community stakeholders to advance Pacekids’ mission and reputation.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development to team members, fostering a collaborative and values-driven culture.
- Develop and manage budgets for fund development, marketing, and communications, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls, reporting, and forecasting to support organizational sustainability and growth.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Senior Management Team to ensure organizational alignment and integration of fundraising and marketing goals.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, campaigns, and communication pieces including the Annual Report, strategic plan communications, and digital content.
- Ensure donor stewardship, recognition, and data management processes meet CRA requirements and reflect industry best practices.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety practices and legislation.
- Represent Pacekids in the community and sector-wide initiatives that enhance visibility, reputation, and collaboration.
- Contribute to organizational strategy and planning as part of the Senior Management Team.
What You'll Bring:
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (communications, marketing, business, nonprofit management, or related discipline).
- Seven to ten years of progressive leadership experience in fund development, business development, or marketing and communications.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build strong workplace culture, and develop people.
- Strong operational and strategic leadership experience, including budgeting, planning, and contract oversight.
- Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
- Deep understanding of nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, and marketing best practices.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and storytelling skills.
- Technological proficiency, including Microsoft Office 365 and fundraising/CRM databases.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality in a complex, people-focused environment.
- Clearance from a current Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) and Child Intervention Record Check, or ability to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Location & Schedule:
2850 Sunridge Blvd NE
Full-time, Monday to Friday (Evenings or weekends as required for operational needs)
On-site leadership presence required; some flexibility based on organizational needs
