About Us
The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation proudly serves as the primary charitable fundraising organization for the Alberta Children’s Hospital and Child Health & Wellness Research at the University of Calgary. We also partner with Alberta Health Services and other agencies to support community-based child health initiatives across Calgary and throughout Alberta. Over the past decade, we have proudly invested more than $300 million to advance care and research at the hospital, University of Calgary, Rotary Flames House, and The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience.
Child health specialists and researchers in Calgary are redefining what’s possible for sick and injured kids in our community and beyond. Every discovery, every new treatment, and every cure begins with our generous community of donors.
These donations catalyze initiatives that save and change children’s lives. Each year, we invest millions in the critical programs, advanced technology, and expertise needed to ensure even the most severely ill and injured children receive world-class, compassionate care. At the same time, we provide the resources and unique programming needed to nurture kids’ spirits, helping them cope with their experiences and making their hospital stays as enjoyable as possible. Through investments in research, we also enable scientists to develop new treatments and better cures to benefit kids today and, in the years to come.
Best health, best future for all children and families.
Our team stays true to ACHF’s ICARE values – Integrity, Collaboration, Authenticity, Respect and Excellence – in everything we do. These values guide our relationships with donors, partners, the community, and each other, as we work together to ensure the healthiest futures for all children.

Key Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a hands-on role in delivering and refining integrated digital campaigns that support awareness, engagement and fundraising goals. This includes coordinating campaign execution across channels, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities to improve reach, conversion and supporter experience. Through this work, the role contributes to ensuring our marketing efforts are targeted, effective and aligned with organizational priorities. The successful candidate will:
- Execute integrated digital campaigns across email, web, social, fundraising platform and paid channels to support revenue, community engagement and awareness initiatives.
- Create, schedule and publish content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and email to ensure stories and fundraising priorities reach the right audiences.
- Support and optimize paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google Ads) through targeting, creative testing and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to the delivery of campaigns aligned with Foundation priorities, including fundraising appeals and stewardship initiatives.
- Coordinate campaign timelines, assets and deliverables in collaboration with the Manager, Digital Marketing.
- Collaborate with Communications, Marketing and Data & Analytics colleagues to adapt stories, develop compelling digital campaigns, implement segmentation strategies, enable personalized digital experiences, and support alignment of data across CRM, email, and analytics platforms.
- Monitor social media channels and support community engagement through timely, thoughtful responses.
- Build, deploy and optimize digital campaigns using platforms such as Classy and Mailchimp.
- Enhance segmented donor journeys—including welcome series, stewardship messages, re‑engagement flows and fundraising campaigns—to deepen supporter engagement and drive conversion.
- Conduct A/B testing across content and journeys to strengthen community engagement and conversion.
- Analyze email, website and multi‑channel performance (e.g., engagement and conversion metrics) to identify optimization opportunities.
- Implement consistent campaign tracking using UTM parameters and analytics tools to ensure accurate measurement.
- Maintain dashboards and prepare performance summaries that translate data into actionable insights for strategy and reporting.
- Adapt long‑form stories into digital‑first formats and draft short‑form content that drives engagement and fundraising.
- Apply SEO and platform best practices to improve discoverability and continuously refine content based on performance insights.
- Ensure campaigns and digital experiences include clear calls to action that drive donations and supporter action.
As our Ideal candidate, you have:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in digital marketing—ideally in a nonprofit, fundraising, or mission-driven environment
- Hands-on experience supporting donor journeys, segmentation strategies, and digital stewardship programs, along with executing multi-channel campaigns across email, social media, and web.
- Practical experience with marketing automation and email platforms such as Mailchimp, Classy, or similar tools, and comfort using analytics platforms like Google Analytics and Meta Insights to measure and optimize performance.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights; experience building or maintaining performance dashboards is an asset.
- Familiarity with nonprofit CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce NPSP) and content management systems like WordPress, which will help you succeed in this role.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, allowing you to create clear, engaging digital content, along with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach, enabling you to work effectively with creative and communications teams to adapt messaging across channels.
