Job description
Reporting to the Operations Director the Social Enterprise Lead will lead the Social Enterprise Team and work collaboratively with the Workshops Lead. The Social Enterprise Lead will be responsible for informing and executing the organization’s social enterprise strategy and implementation; managing the Social Enterprise Team and working collaboratively with the Workshops Team to align sales with capacity to deliver; and balance social enterprise activities with social impact objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Provide supervision and performance management, using a relationship management approach, for the Social Enterprise Team to support ongoing focus and implementation of the social enterprise strategy, including coaching as required on sales approaches, team workplans and performance tracking against KPI’s.
- Collaborate on the development and ongoing adaptations of the organization social enterprise strategy and implementation plan by:
- Understanding the organization’s products/packages and providing input on content changes or gaps for products.
- Supporting events, presentations and consultations/outreach to increase awareness of both the organization and products, as required.
- Identifying emerging market opportunities, client needs and sector trends to inform the ongoing evolution of CMHA AB + CSP’s social enterprise offerings and revenue growth strategy.
- Leading the Social Enterprise Team to monitor and enhance the client journey from inquiry through delivery and follow-up using client feedback and performance data to support retention, continuous improvement and long-term relationship development.
- Working closely with the Workshops Team Lead to align sales with existing capacity to deliver; and coordinate solutions for any issues that arise.
- Ensure data entry and reporting, using the organization’s CRM, on social enterprise activities. Reporting may include recommendations for changes to the sales process, product pricing or packaging and implantation of targeted sales campaigns.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to social enterprise systems, processes and team practices, supporting organizational learning, change adoption and sustainable growth in alignment with the Workshops Lead.
- Effectively collaborate with other teams in the organization to successfully implement social enterprise initiatives and provide an integrated client experience.
- Support organization strategic direction through contribution to organization wide activities within the scope of the Social Enterprise Lead position.
- Additional related duties as required.
Requirements
- A degree in Business Administration, Community Engagement, Social Enterprise or related field is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience, successfully leading a team with a focus on relationship management is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years recent and relevant enterprise experience operating a business, or a social venture in non-profit is required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge and experience of the sales cycle is required.
- Experience in leading a sales team to achieve enterprise objectives is preferred.
- Experience working in the non-profit sector, specifically mental health, is an asset.
- Knowledge and skills in different styles of sales approaches, such as solution, relationship and value-based sales, and ability to mentor a team in organization appropriate sales, is an asset.
- Ability to learn quickly, think logically and detailed; manage complex situations and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in conflict situations, positive attitude, willingness to work constructively in a team environment.
- Ability to be self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment of frequent change.
Hours
This full-time position is based on a 35-hour work week, with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. This position may work in a hybrid model with availability to work five days per week in our Calgary or Edmonton office. The typical work week is Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30.
