Recovery Acres Calgary Society (RACS)
Recovery Acres Calgary Society (RACS) is seeking committed, thoughtful leaders to join our Board of Directors at a pivotal time in our organization’s growth.
About RACS
RACS provides evidence-based, compassionate addiction recovery services rooted in dignity, accountability, and long-term wellness. We have served more than 17,000 individuals and continue to evolve to meet the growing and changing needs of our community.

Long-term recovery is available for all who live with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Helping those who live with substance use disorders achieve long-term recovery and restore individuals, families and communities to wellness.

Role of the Board
The Board provides governance and strategic oversight to ensure RACS achieves its mission while remaining financially sustainable and accountable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance aligned with priorities
- Participate in Board and committee meetings
- Support fundraising and capital campaign efforts
- Act as ambassadors in the community
- Monitor performance and outcomes
Skills & Experience
We are seeking experience in:
- Fund development / capital campaigns
- Healthcare, addiction, or mental health services
- Finance, accounting, or audit
- Legal or governance
- HR and organizational development
- Facilities or capital planning
- Indigenous relations
- Technology or data systems
- Community leadership
