Controller

Certified Teacher

The Certified Teacher is responsible for the delivery of direct classroom programming to their designated classrooms. The Certified Teacher oversees the educational programming and Individual Program Plan. The Certified Teacher works as part of an interdisciplinary team with other teachers, preschool teachers, aides and therapists. The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor of Education from an accredited institution and hold or be eligible to hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

George Wood Learning Centre – Supervisor

The Learning Centre Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in supporting the well-being and development of up to 60 children and youth (ages 6 to 17) across two campuses who experience diverse mental health and behavioral challenges. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of eight School Support Counselors and ensures that youth receive consistent, compassionate, and structured care throughout the school day.

Donor Engagement Specialist

This position plays a critical role in advancing Distress Centre Calgary’s mission by securing funding through high-quality proposal writing, meaningful donor stewardship, and efficient data management. With a person-centered philosophy at the heart of all communications and engagement, this role helps bring our impact to life through compelling proposals, donor experiences, and funder relationships.

Campaign and Individual Giving Coordinator

The Campaign and Individual Giving Coordinator plays a key role in supporting BB4CK’s fundraising efforts by coordinating donor stewardship, managing individual giving campaigns (including monthly and one-time donations), and ensuring accurate data tracking and reporting. This role works closely with the Fund Development team to nurture relationships with donors, increase engagement, and support revenue growth aligned with our mission to feed and care for kids in Calgary.

Director, People & Culture

The Director of People & Culture reports to the CEO and is a member of the 5-person senior leadership team. This role oversees a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, DEIA Lead, and is supported by an active Human Resources volunteer. The ideal candidate will offer strategic insight into talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee well-being, total rewards, policies, governance, and employee relations, while also being hands-on and collaborative in daily operations.
