Mental Health Worker–Social Recreation Focus

We are seeking a Mental Health Worker (Social Recreation). This position will primarily support social recreation activities on Wednesday and Friday (4 to 8:30 pm) and daytimes on Saturday and statutory holidays. Some weekday work is available but is not required. This position has a focus on social and recreational activities. We are looking for someone who can champion fun and innovative activities that offer great opportunities for members to connect, learn, explore, contribute and enjoy.

The Maintenance Coordinator is a “hands-on” operations role that will provide care for our properties and manage ongoing facility management, maintenance needs and occasional renovation projects. We have a 5,500 sq ft multi-use office space plus multiple scattered housing units located throughout the city of Calgary.

Housing Support Worker – Strengthening Home Fires

The Housing Support worker is responsible for supporting and planning with up to a case load of 13-15 youth to assist them in maintaining the stability of their housing, addressing risk factors and building on their strengths to ensure successful community integration, over a period of time.

Housing Case Manager (Ka-pe-kiwehtahat)

Housing Case Managers provide short-term, wraparound support to individuals experiencing housing instability, focusing on accessing affordable housing and preventing housing loss.

Akak’stiman Implementation Lead (Lodge Keeper)

Reporting to the Director, Akak’stiman, the Akak’stiman Implementation Lead (Lodge Keeper) will co-design, support and implement United Way’s Akak’stiman Strategy within the context of the Directional Document priority action areas. The role will use the approach of paralleling Western and Indigenous ways and practices rather than mixing them together to avoid confusion and to maintain integrity of both ways.

Relief Cook

Reporting to the Manager, Meal Services, the Relief Cook at Inn from the Cold (The Inn) is responsible for preparing, cooking and storing all food products as well as ensuring the Neoma kitchen and commercial kitchen are cleaned and maintained daily. Ensuring that all AHS Food Safety Standards as well as The Inn’s Kitchen Standards are followed. Checklists and temperature lists are filled out daily as well as communication with off shift team members is up to date and accurate.
